摘要
The article provides an overview of the importance of gender as a dimension for psychotherapy. As a basic theory the social constructivist view of doing gender is laid down as helpful for psychotherapy. For this purpose, the importance of doing gender is explained using examples from different phases in the process, gender-related topics and dynamics in the respective gender match. Practical conclusions are drawn. Gender-sensitive and gender-competent psychotherapists are aware of their own doing gender, take the gender composition in psychotherapy and the resulting dynamics of doing gender on both sides into account.
