Affective computing and collaborative network's: Towards emotion-aware interaction

Affective computing is a young field of research that interconnects many different domains and has a range of important applications. However, little attention has been given to the employment of affective computing in collaborative networks. This paper examines the possible challenges for 'injecting' emotion-awareness into collaborative network's with a view to improving the effectiveness, motivation and naturalness ill the comilmnicalwn beilveen their members. Moreover, by observing the state of the art in effective computing, we present certain needs and beiiefits (why) as well as possible approaches (how) to the opplication of affective comptaing technologies in collaborative networks, with affective interaction.
