Impact of dairy effluent on seed germination, seedling growth and biomass production of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] varieties

摘要
The present investigation deals with the effect of dairy effluent on seed germination seedling growth and biomass production of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) varieties. The soybean varieties viz., CO-1, PK. 1146, Bragg CO-3, JS 335, NRC-67, RKS-15, RKS-18, PK-1029 and CO-21 were taken to this study. The result showed that the higher germination growth and biomass production was observed at 20% effluent concentration. Similarly, germination growth and biomass production of soybean seedling gradually decreased with the increase in effluent concentrations. The variety CO-1 showed a better performance when compared with other soybean varieties tested.
