摘要
A recurrent theme in the archaeology of Patagonia is the chronological framework for human occupation based on absolute and relative dates from different types of contexts. This paper presents the results of the compilation and critical analysis of radiocarbon dates from archaeological sites from Deseado Massif, Santa Cruz province, Argentina, on the basis of the calibration and subsequent calculation of the sum of the probabilities of said dates. Through such analysis, chronological continuities and discontinuities are recognized and their implications for the development of future archaeological investigations in this region are discussed.
