摘要
Using zinc (0) in a 5% v AcOH aqueous solution allowed the efficient pinacol coupling of aliphatic or aromatic unusual, alpha, beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds such as citral A in good to excellent yields (56-99%). It can also be successfully applied to acetophenone.
