摘要
A decade before every antenna manufacturers was trying to find the solution for low loss, low profile, high power capacity and bulky size structures. The Substrate integrated waveguide consociates planar and non-planar technologies and brings a way out to classical waveguide's extensive dilemma of bulky size and its incompetence to integrate with planar technology. Substrate integrated waveguide is a new design of transmission line, which acquiesce high power hoist in resemblance to planar micro-strip antennas. In this paper, a SIW antenna designs are studied for X-band (8-12 GHz) satellite communication.
