摘要
In distance education with LMS students get access only to the resources enabled by the tutor according to the curriculum. After their graduation the LMS-based resources, including course materials, tests and assignments, blogs, journals, and forums become unavailable. Life-long learning model considers open access to resources and self-regulation mechanisms. To introduce elements of life-long learning with limited funding and minimal intervention in an ongoing learning process scheme, we have chosen a Media Wiki-based component to allow students to work together on a set of articles related to the course topics. Due to enabling access model implemented in wiki, students working on an article are not segregated on the basis of belonging to a specific group or course. Students of any course, alumni, postgraduates, young scientists and tutors may collaborate on the topics of their interest.
