摘要
Because half, of the world's population will soon live in cities, urban mental health will become a central issue for both urban and he th planning. Cultural factors and urban dynamics interplay in often creative but sometimes destructive ways. Vulnerable citizens may have difficulty adjusting to the high-pressure, urban environment. Understanding the impact of cultural factors on adaptation to urban life may greatly enhance our ability to prevent, assess, and treat mental disorders in urban dwellers.
