摘要
The possibility is demonstrated of improving the microstructure of cast high-speed steel R6M5-Sh by use of thermal cycling treatment (TCT) as an intermediate production operation between preliminary isothermal annealing and final hardening with triple tempering. As a result of TCT there is a reduction in the amount of ledeburite eutectic, size of the carbide network, carbide inhomogeneity, and a change in carbide size and composition. Rational treatment regimes are determined.
