摘要
The objective of this article is to show how gender inequality between men and women generated differential impacts in their daily lives. These differential impacts left traces on some skeletons, showing the activities or violence that these individuals experienced in Mexico City during the 18th and 19th centuries. The methodology was based on a mixed cut analysis, taking up the microhistory and the biocultural approach. The observable traumas in a group of individuals buried in the cemeteries of San Andres and Santa Paula were analyzed. The results point to a greater number of cases in men, which may be due to the social roles they played in their spaces, exposing them to greater risks.
