Comparing Students' Critical Thinking Elementary School in Different Area with Utilizing FIVES Strategy

摘要
The simple view of reading provides a model to conceptualize reading comprehension as the product of two dimensions: listening comprehension and word decoding processes. FIVES strategy is integrated Facts, Inference, Vocabulary, Experiences, and Summary in learning based on problem which given it on text. Student will realize that reading text can improve critical thinking by implementation FIVES strategy. This study aims to students' comparing critical thinking by implementation use FIVES strategy. Method this research is quantitative, comparing critical thinking students in 3 areas, in village, city and transition area. The result this research was improving critical thinking student after implementation FIVES strategy. Critical thinking student got highest score which student studied in center of city. There were many factors, they were how student studied in childhood, gender, social economy student, their parent education and communication students with their family.
