摘要
One of the most challenging problems is location management for wireless mesh networks, which are increasingly of popularity for its reliability, scalability and low upfront investments. However, conventional location management schemes aren't designed for such networks and result in considerable signaling cost when used. In this paper, a cluster-based location management scheme is introduced, which take adequate into account the characteristic of mesh structure and improves location management efficiency within wireless mesh networks. Numerical result reveals that the proposed scheme enables to significantly lessen the signaling cost.
