摘要
Close-fitting receive arrays can approximate the optimal MRI signal to noise ratio in superficial areas of the subject. For intricate and variable anatomy such as the neck and carotid arteries, however, manufacturing a close-fitting array with conventional semi-rigid substrates has been challenging [1-5]. In this work, we utilized the ultraflexible high impedance coil (HIC) [6] structure with a miniaturized matching interface in an adaptable receive array for carotid imaging. Compared with a commercial array, our HIC array demonstrated an average 32% higher SNR in the carotid bifurcation on five healthy volunteers.
