Electrically conducting amorphous molecular materials:: preparation and electrical conductivities of chemically doped 2,5-bis{4-[bis(4-methylphenyl)amino]phenyl}thiophene and 5,5′-bis{4-[bis(4-methylphenyl)amino]phenyl}-2,2′-bithiophene

摘要
For the purpose of developing electrically conducting amorphous molecular materials, chemical doping of 2,5-bis{4-[bis(4-methylphenyl)amino]phenyl}thiophene and 5,5 ' -bis {4-[bis(4-methylphenyl)amino]phenyl}-2,2 ' -bithiophene with iodine was carried out. The resulting iodine-doped solids were characterized by electronic absorption, infrared absorption, electron spin resonance, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The iodine-doped amorphous molecular materials exhibited room temperature conductivities of 2 similar to3 x 10(-5) Scm(-1).
