摘要
The paper presents short review of state-of-art and recent technical advance in automation of distribution network control. It covers issues of intelligent grids, substation automation, ICT, automated meter reading, feeder automation, SCADA. A number of new automation technologies are referred to. With permanent technology changes in process, the distribution networks move towards digital distribution networks, with widespread intelligence (microprocessors, controllers) across the networks and high-speed communications between intelligent devices. Both expectations and reservations from distribution network operators related to further automation are discussed.
