摘要
In order to satisfy the various demands for urgent life line recovery, satellite-terrestrial multi-mode very small aperture terminal (VSAT) has been developed by using software defined radio (SDR). The SDR VSAT was developed based on the terrestrial cognitive router technologies which have wireless terminal functions of 3G cellular, WiFi and so on. In the event of disaster, evacuated people can use the developed multi-mode VSAT from their personal terminals, e.g., smart phones, via WiFi for website access and internet protocol (IP) phone. In the normal situation, the developed multi-mode VSAT can be used as a WiFi router via 3G cellular network or wired network.
