摘要
Free-standing InSb nanowires of 60 - 90 nm diameter have been electrochemically self-assembled and we have measured their room temperature Raman spectra in a weak magnetic field of similar to 0.2 Tesla. Both the longitudinal (LO) and the transverse (TO) optical phonon peaks are suppressed in a magnetic field. The TO phonon peak experiences a slight red-shift and the LO phonon peak experiences a slight blue shift. These results are important for phonon engineering in nanowires and have a bearing on electronic and photonic devices implemented with nanowires.
