摘要
In this paper, an analytical method, which combines experimental and numerical studies, is reported to determine material properties of Nd: YVO4. In the experimental investigation, a laser interferometer is proposed to measure the physical deformation of lasing materials. The numerical solution with the finite-element (FE) method is used to calculate distributions of temperature, stress and strain in the lasing crystal, and then Young's modulus and Poisson ratio of Nd: YVO4 crystal are calculated to be 133GPa and 0.33, respectively.
