摘要
This work investigates large bore electropermagnet designs up to 60 mm ID suitable for 2nd harmonic 94 GHz gyrotrons in the 100 to 200 kWCW class. It is compact, low weight, and low coil operating power for its capabilities. This concept is expected to fill millimeter-wave portable and system restricted gyrotron type applications where superconducting magnet based systems are not practical. Other advantages of this normal magnet are low fabrication cost, negligible operating and maintenance costs, zero cool-down time.
