Temperature variation of the Knight shift for 25Mg in magnesium metal

摘要
The Mg-25 Knight shift in magnesium metal has been measured from room temperature to the melting point at 650 degrees C. The low value found for the temperature coefficient is in sharp contrast to the high values for the other divalent hexagonal close packed metals zinc and cadmium, which are also distinguished by anomalously high cia ratios. The low value for magnesium is consistent with the nearly ideal c/a ratio. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
