Spin transport properties of boron nitride nanotubes: A DFT study

摘要:
In this work, we present the spin transport properties of a (10, 0) boron nitride nanotube (BNNT). To induce high spin polarization, we doped transitional metals (Fe, Ni, and Co). Calculations show doping Ni at N site causes to have a pure spin down current and doping Fe on N site causes to have pure spin up current. All dopants make pure spin-polarized levels among the band gap. The Doping TM metal on B sites induced more magnetic dipole moment in comparison to N sites.
