摘要：

This paper presents the architecture of a system that can manage more efficiently the information within environments of multiple interacting enterprises, in order to provide enhanced services, benefiting from the recent technological advances in wireless networks and equipment. The work of this paper is based on a prototype implementation of the system deployed in Athens International Airport (AIA). Aspects addressed are the requirements, the high-level system design and the functionality of the components. Indicative benefits are presented and concluding remarks are made.
