About the struggle of Being Women: feminine political subjectivities

This article presents the supracategory "The Struggle of Being Women" as a result of a qualitative research carried out in Medellin, Colombia, with a feminist approach that sought to unveil the ways in which feminine political subjectivities are configured in a group of young women. It was found that women face daily struggles in their families for their recognition as valid interlocutors and for configuring themselves as women different from the conception of women imposed by patriarchal discourses. The ways they have found to rebel and re-signify themselves necessarily pass through collective meetings with other women and by speaking out in order to understand themselves as different and differentiated, plural and with the power to participate and make decisions about themselves and in public scenarios.
