摘要
Today Cancer remains to be one of the most deadly diseases in the world. Due to the potential anticancer activity of the chalcone and sulfonamide moieties, five novel hybrid compounds containing both structures have been designed and synthesized in 3 steps. The synthesized compounds were established on the basis of IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR spectral data, and elemental analysis and also they were screened for in-vitro anticancer activity on human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Among them, (E)-2-methoxy-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)-5-(3-(4- nitrophenyl) acryloyl) benzene sulfonamide (4) showed the most potent anticancer activity against MCF-7 cell line.
