Synthesis, Crystal Structures and Characterization of Copper, Manganese Complexes with N-p-Tolylsulfonyl-α-Alanine and 1,10-Phenanthroline

摘要
Two novel mononuclear complexes [Cu(phen)(Ts-alpha-ala)(2)(H2O)] (1) and [Mn(phen)(Ts-alpha-ala)(HCOO)(H2O)(2)] (2) were isolated from the mixed solvent reaction of N-p-Tolylsulfonyl-alpha-Alanine (Ts-alpha-Hala), 1,10-phenanthroline (Phen) and CuCl2 center dot 2H(2)O (or MnCl2 center dot 4H(2)O), and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Complex 1 is triclinic system, space group P (1) over bar with the cell parameters: a=1.174 6(2) nm, b=1.182 8(2) nm, c=1.493 6(3) nm, alpha=70.22(3)degrees, beta=88.26(2)degrees, gamma=62.14(3)degrees, V=1.706 0(8) nm(3), Z=2, F(000)=774, R-1=0.055 3, wR(2)=0.118 9; The coordination polyhedron of copper ion is distorted square pyramidal. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds results in the structure of one-dimensional supramolecular chain of the complex. The complex 2 is monoclinic system, space group P2(1/c) with the cell parameters: a=2.394 4(2) nm, b=0.992 92(11) nm, c=1.080 29(11) nm, beta=92.750(2)degrees, V=2.565 4(4) nm(3), Z=4, F(000)=1 152, R-1=0.056 9, wR(2)=0.110 5. The manganese ion is in a geometry of distorted octahedral built by six coordination atoms. There are a lot of hydrogen bonds in the complexe, forming a two-dimensional layered supramolecular structure. CCDC: 754579, 1; 754578, 2.
