摘要：

The condensation of 3-acetylcoumarins In-e with aromatic aldehydes 2a-b gives coumarin chalcones 3a-f, which upon reaction with various aroyl methyl pyridinium bromides 4a-d in acetic acid in the presence of ammonium acetate give 3-(2-pyridyl)coumarins 5a-x.
