摘要
Colitis-associated colorectal cancer (CACRC) is a major concern in patients with long-standing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). CACRC can develop under the influence of several risk factors including longer duration and disease extent and shows clinical and molecular features different from those of sporadic CRC. Several academic societies have recommended surveillance guidelines for CACRC that develops in IBD patients. Patients are stratified according to risk for CRC and differentiated by surveillance colonoscopy and management. In the current article, we review CACRC in IBD patients generally and introduce future directions.
