摘要
Four mutants of apple rootstocks have been registered in Poland: PM 1, PM 2, PM 3, PM 4. They were bred by treating of A2 and M. 26 rootstocks with gamma rays from Co-60 source. Two doses of radiation were applied: 25 and 35 Gy. Authors of new rootstocks are A. A. Przybyla and S. W. Zagaja. In 1998, mutants grafted with scions of 'King Jonagold' were planted in the orchard. Trees of this cultivar on M. 9 and M. 26 served as a control. Trees on mutant-rootstocks presented a high yielding potential and high fruit quality. PM 3 and PM 4, that originate from winter hardy, vigorous A2 are very promising in Polish climatic conditions.
