摘要:
A practical method to process ultralong carbon nanotubes (CNT) was offered and the structural organization and orientation mechanism of soft organic layers on CNT surfaces was investigated. The functionalization of CNTs by the polysiloxane quaternary ammonium compound is confirmed by the presence of the C-H stretching band located at 2958 and 2852 cm-1 and the C-H vibration at 1467 cm-1. A higher D band corresponding to the fuctionalization of the CNTs is observed and this increase is due to an increase in the number of sp3 carbon atoms that are formed on the CNTs during reaction. The ultralong nanotubes are resulted from the ineffective cutting of CNTs by acid oxidation and sonication. The TGA and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) traces of the CNT presents weight losses of 10 and 50% at 311 and 411°C, indicating their excellent heat resistant property.
