摘要
This paper utilizes the pulse width modulation technique to control the speed of single phase induction motor with improved efficiency and power factor. Our proposed technique implements diode to control the speed of single phase induction motor with loads like fans/blowers etc. with the help of single semiconductor switch MOSFET. This method has domestic as well as industrial applicationsPreviously, back to back Thyristors or Triacs been implemented which faces the limitation of having lower power factor and lower efficiency due to higher current been drawn then required at the beginning this leads to higher power losses. Our proposed technique provides higher efficiency and improved power factor with less power losses that provides economy andsimplicity.
