Large eddy simulation of Re's influence on the quasi-periodic motions of the turbulent flow over a backward-facing step

摘要
A second order Euler-Taylor-Galerkin finite element method is used as the space discretizing scheme for large eddy simulation of the flow over a backward facing step flow at Re=47 625. Time process of pressure at a given point were used to analyze the influence of Reynolds number oil the quasi-periodic motions of large scale eddies in the flow. As the result show, the higher the Reynolds number, the higher the quasi-frequency.
