User Clustered Opportunistic Beamforming for Stratospheric Communications

摘要
This letter proposes a user clustered opportunistic beamforming scheme for stratospheric communications. The beamformer is partitioned into two parts, a dominant part directing to the user cluster and a random part to improve the user fairness. The user clustering and the dominant beamformer are collaboratively determined to maximize the match degree between the beamformer and the scheduled user channel, which results in high transmission rates. The clustering is based on the slow varying parameters, which can be measured on the platform. Besides the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio values, no additional feedback is needed. Simulation results show the performance gain of the proposed scheme.
