摘要：

In the last decade, the predominant role of the endothelium in vascular healing after balloon injury and stent implantation has been better recognized. The endothelium regulates vascular tone, thrombosis, inflammation and cell proliferation (1-2). Endothelial dysfunction related to vascular injury may induce subsequent restenosis (3-4). Therefore, it may be important to improve endothelial recovery after angioplasty (PTCA) in order to reduce restenosis and improve clinical outcome.
