摘要
Synchronised, twin-screw pumps have been proven in land-based installations as capable of handling gas void fractions of up to 100 percent whilst at the same time maintaining full pressure rise without a change in rotative speed. These pumps commonly range from 50 to 1,600 kW in power level. The reliability currently achieved by these pumps on the surface suggests deploying a package comprising a multiphase pump coupled hermetically to a submersible motor to boost the flow from one or more subsea wells. The required subsea engineering expertise resides in the same corporate family that manufactures both pump and motor.
