Dimension Research of Labor Relations Climate Scale Based on Exploratory Factor Analysis

With the development of China's economy, factors that affect labor relations have become more and more complicated, leading to the continuous occurrence of labor conflicts. However, compared with western countries, there is little research on labor relations climate in China. Its concept and dimension have not yet reached a consensus in academia. Based on previous studies, this research used questionnaires and exploratory factor analysis to explore the dimensions of the labor relations climate. 277 valid questionnaires from 10 enterprises in Chengdu High-tech Zone have been collected. Through data analysis by SPSS17.0, the research finds that the labor relations climate contains four dimensions including harmony, careness, fairness and participation. The conclusions make up for the deficiencies of the prior theories and provide a more practical and significant help for future research.
