Influence of the structural features of pyrene-dendronized bodipys on the optical and photophysical properties

摘要
A comparative study between two pyrene-dendronized bodipys, one bearing a first-generation Frechet-type dendron with two pyrenes in the meso position, and the other with two pyrenes linked to positions 3 and 5 of bodipy via additional double bonds, was performed. The optical and photophysical properties of these dyads containing the donor-acceptor pair pyrene-bodipy were studied by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopies. The results were compared and supported by theoretical calculations performed by Density Functional Theory methodologies. The effect of the structure on the optical and photophysical properties was studied in detail; both dyads exhibited high energy transfer efficiencies.
