摘要：
Theoretical and empirical work trying to understand the causes of corruption, why it tends to be highly persistent, or what are the social, political or macroeconomic effects of corruption, is attracting lot of attention in recent years. The objective of this article is to review this literature, discussing the main theoretical and empirical developments on the causes and economic consequences of corruption.
