摘要
This study examines the degree of competition among the programming distributors for commercial children's television. Analyses of market concentration and conduct indicate that this market is on the verge of becoming highly concentrated. Major players such as Fox and Buena Vista Television supply American children almost half of the programming they watch through commercial broadcast television. The finding also suggests a critical combination of network-syndication ownership as an important strategy for gaining market control.
