摘要
In this paper, we show an active sensor with high quality factor and resonance intensity. Coupling in and out branches were adopted in the back of the passive spoof plasmonic metal-insulator-metal ring resonator and we have investigated and explained the physical mechanisms of the coupling branches. An amplifier chip is integrated into plasmonic metamaterial. The proposed active sensor is validated experimentally. The measured quality factor of mode m(6) is 11670. Numerical simulation and experimental measurement agree well and show that the sensor has high quality factor and resonance intensity, which means it will provide high sensitivity.
