摘要
Beacon of light! A new type of probe called an allosteric molecular beacon (aMB) has been designed for highly sensitive detection of nucleic acids, proteins, and small molecules. The aMB is designed in such way that target binding will activate its binding affinity to streptavidin microbeads for probe signal enrichment, noise reduction, and signal readout, which enables ultrasensitive target detection in complex biological samples (see scheme). © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
