摘要
IgG(4)-related sclerosing disease (IgG(4)-SD) was recognized after reports of increasing serum IgG(4) levels and extrapancreatic involvement in patients with autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP). (1,2) Autoimmune pancreatitis as well as many medical conditions without AIP including Mikulicz disease, Kuttner tumor, and sclerosing dacryoadenitis were recently included in the IgG(4)-SD spectrum. (3) Although excellent responsiveness to glucocorticoids is characteristic in the early disease course, (4) some patients show relapsing-remitting disease course. To the best of our knowledge, there have been no reports on risk factors for relapse in IgG(4)-SD patients without AIP. Therefore, we investigated the risk factors for IgG(4)-SD recurrence while on glucocorticoid maintenance therapy.
