摘要
In this paper results of thermo-electrical modelling of an arsenide quantum cascade laser are presented. Influence of different current confinements on the temperature of the laser was investigated in details. It has been shown that the proper current confinement together with optimised mounting can reduce the temperature increase by about 50%, which could allow the continuous-wave, room temperature operation of this laser.
