摘要
Arthrodesis of the MTP 1 joint is the method of choice for end-stage painful joint degeneration. It can be drawn from the literature that the technique for cartilage debridement and the internal fixation method mainly influence the outcome. Despite the fusion of a key joint, there is little adverse effect on gait, and weight bearing of the first ray can be restored.
