摘要
This paper proposed Sensorless perturbation and observation P&O maximum power extraction control strategy for a variable speed wind energy conversion system (WECS) based on 1.5 MW DFIG. In this study, the DFIG connected with grid directly through stator and through back to back BTBC converters. the proposed P&O defeat the demerits of the conventional P&O. as uses variable step instead of fixed step. the proposed depend two curves intersected together, the P-w curve and generated curve producing 4secors. for the two sectors near MPP a small step will apply otherwise a large step will be used for far sectors. The suggested method has been applied over a large scale WECS using MATLAB/SIMULINK. The results demonstrate that the suggested P&O has high performance and enhance the overall system efficiency contrariwise to traditional P&O techniques
