An effective image segmentation method based on velocity for moving target extraction

摘要
An image segmentation method based on velocity vector for moving target extraction is proposed. The velocity vector can be estimated by inter-frame image block matching during which fast searching algorithms is the key. An effective searching algorithm presented in this paper, which can considerably reduce computational complexity and prevent the occurrence of local optimal solution comparing with other searching algorithms. Simulation results indicate that the method is effective and feasible to segment the moving target from complicated background, also it has the better anti-noise ability.
