摘要
In this paper the results obtained by appling a new method for the 3D reconstruction of multispectral surfaces are presented. The method is applied to the study of a Renaisance painting conserved ath the Civic Museum of Sansepolcro (Arezo, Italy), depicting the Plague of sancepoicro in 1523. The comparison between the 3d proiles obtained at different depths under the surface evidences the profile changes that occur in the layers under the surface. Analysis was performed using inexpensive or even open source software; the availability of this software, together with the great flexibility in the experimental setup and the very short time needed for the acquisition of the images, suggests the application of the proposed method on a routine basis in the multispectral analysis of paintings, to obtain a better understanding on the profiles of the different layers under the painted surface.
