摘要
In the process of rice production a considerable amount of rice husk is produced in Asia and left unused, which creates a problem in term of environment management. This study is aiming to develop a small scale rice husk gasification system to provide energy or electricity depending upon the regional needs. Based upon the results of the previous experiments an improvement was made in the gasifier to remove ash without stopping the system during operation. The ash removing device was placed on the lattice at the bottom of the gasifier. The device had an ash moving blade slowly rotating around a vertical axis at the center of fire lattice. The System was able to remove either ash or carbonized husk depending upon the combustion conditions. At the same time it lowered the drying zone, thus controlling the temperature. The gasification system provided low joule gas and carbonized husk which can be used for soil improvement or water treatment.
