摘要
Bismuth/Reduced graphene oxide (Bi/rGO) has been investigated for electroreduction of CO2 into for-mate. The composite was prepared by co-reduction of Bismuth salt with rGO and characterized by XRD, RAMAN, XPS, and FESEM. Electrochemical characterizations were performed by Cyclic Voltammetry, Chronoamperometry, etc. Tafel analysis was carried out for the Bi/rGO composite for electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (ECO2RR). Analysis of the product obtained after electrolysis at varied overpotentials confirms the formation of formate with 84 % faradaic efficiency (FE) and 3.5 mA/cm(2) partial current density (PCD). Decrease in overpotential by 200 mV on Bi/rGO electrodes as compared to individual metals was observed for carbondioxide to formate. Copyright (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
