摘要
The article is aimed at presenting bone involvement in celiac disease (CD) in patients of any age: children, adolescents and adults. It is focuses on the currently proposed pathogenetic mechanisms (malabsorption and inflammation). The clinical presentation and the treatment of bone problems in CD are summarized. The available data on the epidemiology of osteoporosis and fragility fractures in CD are also presented.
