摘要
This paper is concerned with the study of pulsatile flow of an incompressible, inhomogeneous fluid in a rigid tube with an aneurysm (used to model an artery). The governing nonlinear equations of motion are written in terms of stream function-vorticity and are solved numerically by a finite-difference technique. The flow quantities relevant to physiological flow are obtained. It is found that the magnitude of wall shear stress increases with increasing values of the fluid viscosity and the pulsatile parameter Strouhal number.
